About the event
Mental Health First Aid offers early-intervention education courses for adults in the workplace that increase mental health literacy and teach the practical skills needed to support a co-worker or another adult, experiencing a mental health problem.
Mental Health First Aid (MHFA™) training equips people with the knowledge and confidence to approach or respond to someone who may need information or support. Topics include:
Common mental health conditions
Risk factors & protective factors
Crisis situation support
Framework to supporting a mental health conversation
Course Details
December 4th & December 5th via Zoom - Sessions are 9:00am-11:30am
Course Component 1 - A self-paced eLearning component (takes 5-7 hours to complete). Participants need to first complete this component.
Course Component 2 - Consists of 2 x 2.5 hour Instructor-led video conferencing sessions including a review of the eLearning content learnt in Course Component 1 followed by activities, scenarios, more in depth discussion and practice conversations with course participants.
